Cazcabel secures Sainsbury’s listing following Patrón XO Cafe discontinuation

Cazcabel has expanded its UK presence with a nationwide roll out of its coffee flavoured tequila in Big 4 grocer Sainsbury’s.

The alcohol brand, which claims to “becoming the nation’s new favourite coffee tequila” also reported a 348% increase in sales in the past year, filling the gap in the market following Bacardi’s decision to discontinue Patròn XO Cafe.

“At Sainsbury’s we pride ourselves on leading innovation within retail, and this listing demonstrates our confidence in Cazcabel, not only to fulfil an existing flavour demand but to excite and entice new shoppers to the tequila fixture,” Sainsbury’s spirits buyer Abby Tasker said.

According to Cazcabel’s marketing manager, Lucy Cottrell,  the listing in Sainsbury’s makes Cazcabel considerably more accessible and fills “a really important gap in the market, a brand with a strong story and packaging.”

Cazcabel Coffee Tequila is stocked in Sainsbury’s stores and online and retails for £24.
