Amazon launches new plant-based range

Amazon Fresh has launched its own plant-based range featuring over a dozen vegan meat and dairy items.

The Fresh Plant-Based range is an expansion of Amazon’s Fresh private label and offers a selection of vegan products including Italian meatballs, chick’n nuggets, meatless patties, sausages and almond milk, according to Store Brands.

The e-ccomerce giant’s new products were tested to ensure they had healthy nutritional benefits and met the customer’s expectations for taste and quality, it revealed.

Amazon intends to grow its plant-based range throughout 2022 and is offering 20% off all Fresh Plant-Based meat and dairy throughout the month of March in-store and online.

“Fresh Plant-Based offers customers a variety of affordable favourites that are free from animal products and full of flavour,” a spokesman from the company said.

“From protein-packed meat alternatives to dairy-free milk alternatives, Fresh Plant-Based has the essentials customers need to create a healthier meal that will satisfy the whole family and won’t break the bank.”

The news comes after Amazon opened its first and second convenience stores in 2022, In Southwark and Kensington respectively.

This brings the total number of Amazon Fresh stores in London to 16.
