Play time: Tesco to stock Lovehoney toys

Tesco is the first UK supermarket to stock Lovehoney products, following a nationwide partnership with the sexual wellness company.

The new arrangement will see six Lovehoney products launching across more than 250 Tesco Extra stores, following an exclusive brand partnership with Tesco for the grocery channel.

The exclusivity deal is expected to run until at least August 2022, marking the first time that Lovehoney has been able to list its sex toys in a major mainstream supermarket.

The move aligns with the company’s mission to normalise the use of sex toys as it aims to bring its sexual wellness message to a wider audience. The Tesco range will encompass a wide variety of best-selling, affordable products and ranging in price from £4.99 to £24.99.

Tesco already offers a number of contraceptives and sexual wellness products, with own-brand lubricant and a selection of adult toys from Durex and So Divine. The Lovehoney range will be listed alongside these products.

“We are delighted to be launching in Tesco; this partnership is very important, as it represents the first time we are stocking sex toys in a supermarket,” said Lovehoney’s CCO Debbie Bond.

“As the sexual happiness people, we believe that everyone should have a fun and fulfilling sex life, and we look forward to being able to share our fabulous product range with the Tesco customers.”
