Recipe box company, Gousto, has announced the creation of 300 new jobs in Warrington as it opens operations in its “most advanced fulfilment centre”.
Gousto has previously hired 130 people to the new centre, and the additional 300 hires are expected to ease accelerating demand.
The new roles consist of production supervisors, warehouse and fulfilment operatives, team leaders and quality assurance supervisors – to support the company’s largest fulfilment centre.

The news follows the company’s largest fundraise of $150 million led by investor SoftBank, raising its valuation to $1.7 billion.
“Our purpose is to build amazing products that have positive impact on people and the planet,” Gousto chief executive and founder Timo Boldt said.
“The launch of our highly automated fulfilment centre in Warrington will get us closer to this purpose, whilst generating even more value for our customers.”
Warrington’s 307,000 sq ft site is powered by Gousto’s proprietary technology, which will serve “an unrivalled customer experience”, “minimal food waste” and “free, fast delivery to UK homes”.
Additionally, The recipe box company prides itself in being a Real Living Wage employer, meaning colleagues are paid more than the government’s minimum wage in order to ensure employees can afford everyday needs.
Gousto’s “culture built around people” extends to the community, as the company has donated 70,000 meals to around 60 local organisations including charities, food banks and NHS staff.
The centre also falls in line with Gousto’s sustainability mission as the site will run off renewable energy and solar panels.
