Yeo Valley scraps fresh cream pots for recyclable bottles

Yeo Valley Organic has scrapped its fresh cream pots in favour of a fully recyclable, practical bottle, in a bid to reduce waste and prevent spillage.

The company, which specialises in making organic milk-based products, is set to launch its new bottles in Waitrose and Sainburys from January.

The new product will retail for £1.50 for double cream and £1.30 for single cream, both bottles 220ml.

The move comes as the UK saw a 17% rise in home cooking, as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

“Yeo Valley Organic bottled creams are a staple for the scratch cooking family,” Yeo Valley Organic brand manager Alastair Unite said.

“Our 100% British creams are not just making meals that little bit more delicious but do so without any spillage or mess.

“We’re also committed to reducing our impact on the planet and so our packaging is 100% recyclable & made of 50% recycled material.”

The news comes after Yeo Valley announced its return to TV screens in 2022 with a £3 million campaign aimed to inspire shoppers to live more sustainably.

The ad will debut on TV next spring and is expected to be supported by press, on-pack promotions and event activity throughout the year.
