Morrisons shoppers in Leeds can now buy metre-long pizzas after the retailer opened a “market kitchen” at its Merrion Centre store.
Located 20 minutes from its Bradford headquarters, the “part-supermarket, part-fresh food takeaway” will be staffed by 25 chefs cooking breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Meals can also be ordered through Deliveroo, a partner of the Big 4 grocer since April 2020.
Morrisons opened its first market kitchen in October 2019 in Canning Town.

This was followed by launches in Manchester Piccadilly, Camden, Canning Town, Edgbaston and Wood Green.
Leeds’ second market kitchen is due to open in Kirkstall later this month.
Charles Newman, associate director of TCS, which owns the Merrion Centre, said: “Morrisons has been our linchpin supermarket… since 1972.
“We have seen continued investment and development at Morrisons to continuously improve our customer experience and offer.”
He expected the market kitchen to be “well received” by shoppers and the local student population.
