Sainsbury’s has opened the doors to its newly refurbished Leeds Colton site.
The new store has been upgraded with a suite of modern developments, which includes an Argos store inside, a new-look café, patisserie counter and a refurbished beauty counter.
As part of the refurbishment, the store features a new Groceries Online facility, which enables the store to increase its online delivery capacity in the local area.
Customers are also able to click & collect orders at the store’s new covered collection point situated in its car park.
As part of the new store Sainsbury’s has also replaced all its chilled refrigeration cabinets with new energy-efficient models.

“This extensive renovation at our Leeds Colton store is another great example of how we are putting food back at the heart of Sainsbury’s in a way that greatly improves the shopping experience for our customers and our colleagues,” Sainsbury’s property director Patrick Dunne said.
“This store provides colleagues and customers with a safe and convenient refreshed shopping destination and we have invested in the latest technology to reduce our energy consumption and do our part for the environment.”
Sainsbury’s Leeds Colton store manager Paul Mitchell added: “We’re grateful to all our customers for their patience and support as we complete this major upgrade whilst continuing to trade.
“The team is really excited with the result and we’ve already had some great feedback from our customers about some of the new features. We’re looking forward to hearing more about what customers think of the completed store.”
