Young Foodies has appointed Alex Smith as commercial director.
Smith joins from Mars Petcare Europe where most recently he held the position of channel controller of convenience.
Within Mars, he also held the positions of customer development manager of Spar and Tesco, senior customer development manager of Sainsbury’s and customer director.
He has also worked at Produce World, where he held the position of national account manager, commercial assistant and graduate management trainee.

“Very excited to be starting the next chapter of my career as commercial director at Young Foodies,” Smith said in a LinkedIn post.
“Theadora Alexander, Chris Green [co-founders] and the team are on an exciting mission to change the way that challenger brands are distributed in the modern FMCG industry.
“Believing in the power of collaboration over competition and I’m delighted to be on board helping with that mission,” he concluded.
