Asda’s Joe Wicks Cashpot for Schools campaign hits £3m
Asda’s Cashpot for Schools initiative has hit a milestone amount of £3m, just four weeks after the launch of the campaign.
Led by TV fitness personality Joe Wicks, the campaign allows customers to donate 0.5% of the value of their shopping to a primary school of their choice every time they shop using Asda Rewards.
The supermarket has partnered with charity Parentkind on the initiative, which will run for another eight weeks, and expects to raise around £7.7m.

The grocery retailer has given all of the UK’s 22,000 state-funded primary schools the opportunity to join the scheme, with over 21,500 signed up already and more than 15 schools having received more than £1,000 of donations.
The campaign hit £1.1m of donations just four days after it launched in September.
Speaking at the time, chief customer officer David Hills said: “This money will make a huge difference to millions of children and Asda will continue to donate 0.5% of the value of our customers shopping to the school of their choice, when the shop with Asda Rewards, until the end of November – meaning there is millions more for us to invest.
