Morrisons has announced a price discount across essential household products and fresh produce from 6 April onwards throughout the month.

The supermarket is lowering the prices on a range of fresh produce, including Fyffes Loose Bananas for 90p, Morrisons Baby Potatoes down to £1.09 and Corn Cobettes for £1.29.

The retailer also rolled out discounts across its private-label Morrisons Savers range, such as Morrisons Savers Apple Juice Drink for 89p, Six Double Toilet Rolls for £2.27 and Essentials Fresh Mint Toothpaste, which is now for 45p.

Alex Paver, pricing and customer director at Morrisons, said: “We know consumer confidence remains low, and for many of our customers, managing household budgets is a real concern. That’s why we’ve focused on lowering the price on everyday essentials and family favourites that we know our customers buy week in, week out.

“By cutting prices across 1000s of key products, we’re helping customers keep the cost of the weekly shop down. This reflects our continued commitment to helping customers spend less while enjoying the quality Morrisons is known for.”

Additionally, Morrisons also launched deals across 1000s of other popular branded products, such as Birds Eye Fish Fingers for £3.00, Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil down to £9.00 and Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar priced at £1.09.

This move is part of the supermarket retailer’s ongoing investment to provide customers with affordable shopping options after launching promotions across 2,500 products at the beginning of the year.

Last week the grocery giant cut prices on seasonal roast essentials, including carrots, parsnips and whole swede, alongside deals on meat and fish centrepieces.
