It comes as the grocer pledged to cut more prices than ever before in 2024, having most recently lowered the price of over 45 of its fruit and vegetable products.
Aldi UK managing director of buying Julie Ashfield said: “Just in time for Father’s Day, we’re slashing prices on a range of items that will be a perfect addition to any family gatherings this weekend.
“Customers know the only place you get Aldi prices is at Aldi, and we’re more committed than ever to remaining the UK’s cheapest supermarket.”
Last week, the discount grocer was named the cheapest supermarket for the fifth consecutive month, costing £121.56 for a basket of 69 items in May, according to the latest data from consumer watchdog Which?.
