Tofurky expands UK grocery presence with Ocado listing
US plant-based food brand Tofurky has expanded its UK retail footprint with the launch of a five-strong range on Ocado.
The listing marks Tofurky’s first major UK grocery partnership since 2020 and will make its products available to shoppers nationwide through the online supermarket.
Tofurky is already stocked by Whole Foods Market UK, but said the Ocado launch would give the brand its broadest UK availability in recent years.
The initial range includes Smoked Ham Style Deli Slices and Italian Style Chick’n Deli Slices, priced at £3.25 each.
Ocado will also stock Tofurky’s Lightly Seasoned, Barbecue and Tikka Masala Style Chick’n Pieces, which carry an RRP of £4.25.
The products are positioned as high-protein, meat-free options for sandwiches, salads and everyday meals, targeting both vegan shoppers and consumers looking to reduce their meat intake.
Tofurky chief growth officer Erin Ransom said: “The UK has always been an important market for Tofurky, and expanding our retail presence with Ocado is an exciting milestone for the brand.
“We’ve heard from consumers who’ve been eager to see Tofurky become more widely available again, and this listing allows us to reach more shoppers than ever before.
“We’re proud to partner with Ocado to introduce our range to new households while reconnecting with loyal fans who have been waiting for Tofurky’s return to major UK grocery.”
The Oregon-based business said the listing formed part of its wider international growth strategy as it looks to increase distribution across key overseas markets.
