Morrisons is offering eligible customers free NHS Meningitis B vaccinations across participating pharmacies.

The retailer is also offering the lowest supermarket price available to those paying privately at the rate of £75.

This makes the vaccine £10 cheaper than other supermarket competitors and up to £35 cheaper than other major high-street pharmacies.

The service is available to those eligible under NHS criteria, including Year 13 pupils and under-25 university freshers, through the NHS National Booking Service or by checking in at a participating Morrisons pharmacy.

The retailer aims to offer the vaccine at cost to help make essential protection more accessible to those who need to pay privately.

John Parry, head of pharmacy at Morrisons said: “We’re here to support the health and wellness of all our customers.

“While many eligible customers can receive the vaccine for free through the NHS at one of our Morrisons Pharmacies, we know that those who don’t qualify can face significant costs if they choose to be vaccinated privately.

“That’s why we’re offering the MenB vaccine at its cost price. We want to make it as affordable as possible for customers.”

The Morrisons Pharmacies offer a range of NHS and private healthcare services, such as vaccinations, health checks and expert advice, which makes it easier for customers to avail trusted healthcare while they shop.
