Heck expands range with Cumberland Chicken Sausages
Yorkshire-founded brand Heck is expanding its high-protein chicken range with the launch of its first Cumberland Chicken Sausages.
The new six-pack is set to launch at retailers Tesco and Morrisons from mid-September onwards for an RRP of £3.50.
This new product was designed to offer a lighter spin on the traditional Cumberland sausage, which combines lean chicken with black pepper and spices.
Heck co-founder Jamie Keeble said: “Cumberland is a UK household staple and one of Britain’s most popular sausage varieties, so it was an obvious choice for our latest chicken launch.
“We’ve kept all the peppery, herby character shoppers expect, while offering a lighter, high-protein alternative for easy everyday meals.”
The launch was created to appeal to the increasing number of shoppers looking for lighter, protein-rich alternatives without compromising on flavour.

According to the business, the new range is high in protein, gluten-free and naturally lower in fat than traditional pork sausages.
This new product joins the brand’s existing chicken range, which includes sausages, burgers, seasoned mince and five-minute sausage rashers.
Heck also has a wide range of meat products under its portfolio, including classic pork sausages, meatballs and burgers.
All of the brand’s pork and sausages are locally manufactured at the family-owned farm in North Yorkshire.
This expansion comes as the protein market has experienced exponential growth this year, with many major retailers ramping up their offerings in the category.
Figures from Modor Intelligence found that the UK protein market will be worth around £491m in 2026 and is forecasted to reach £637m in 2031.
