Co-op Wholesale has strengthened its position in the forecourt and convenience market after signing a five-year partnership with Scottish operator RaceTrack Pitstop.

The agreement will initially cover four stores across Glasgow, with the first set to launch under the partnership in September.

RaceTrack Pitstop operates 12 sites in and around the city and will continue trading under its existing name and signage, while adding ‘Proud to Stock Co-op’ branding.

The deal will give the retailer access to Co-op own-brand products across beer, wine and spirits, food to go, snacks and evening meal ranges, including its Irresistible pizzas.

Co-op Wholesale, which is also home to Nisa, said the partnership formed part of its strategy to support the growth of independent convenience retailers through competitive pricing, own-label products and its national distribution network.

Co-op Wholesale business development and growth director Ian King said: “We’re delighted to be working with such a well-respected operator in RaceTrack Pitstop.
