Harry Ramsden’s to launch across 32 Morrisons cafés

Morrisons is expanding its partnership with Harry Ramsden’s by introducing the fish-and-chip brand to 32 of its supermarket cafés.

The rollout will begin on Sunday 10 August, with participating cafés serving Harry Ramsden’s fish, chips and mushy peas. The brand will operate under a “proudly serving” partnership model.

The tie-up builds on the companies’ existing retail relationship, which brought a range of Harry Ramsden’s chilled products to Morrisons stores and its website in September 2025.

The supermarket range includes battered cod fillets, chunky fish fingers and steak pies, alongside sides such as mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy.

Harry Ramsden’s Group chief executive James Fleming said the café deal represented a significant opportunity to bring the brand to millions more consumers through a trusted national supermarket.

He added that the partnership would allow the business to widen the reach of its fish and chips while retaining the quality and heritage associated with the brand.

Morrisons senior café trading manager Will Reed said: “Harry Ramsden’s is an iconic British brand, and we’re excited to introduce its famous fish and chips to customers in our cafés this summer.”

He added that the retailer wanted to offer shoppers the “comforting taste of a classic chippy tea”, alongside generous portions and value.

The development forms part of Harry Ramsden’s strategy to expand beyond its traditional restaurant estate through licensing agreements, retail ranges and new formats.

Founded in Guiseley, Yorkshire, in 1928, the business has also operated a partnership with ferry company DFDS.

Participating Morrisons cafés include sites in Bradford, Leeds, Blackpool, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Kilmarnock, Glasgow, Leicester, Reading, Exeter and Worthing.
