Pho launches exclusive Pink Sriracha across UK restaurants
Vietnamese street food chain Pho has partnered with condiment brand SABZU to launch a pink sriracha sauce exclusively across its UK restaurants.
The limited-edition sauce is available at more than 50 Pho sites nationwide and through Deliveroo until the end of August.
Created by SABZU, a brand owned by Bamboomart London, the condiment is made using white Thai chillies grown in northern Thailand.
Its bright pink colour comes from hibiscus flowers, which also give the sauce an initial fruity flavour followed by a spicy finish.
Pho said the product taps into growing demand for “fricy” flavours that combine fruit and spice.
To support the launch, the restaurant group is introducing a Pink Wednesdays promotion throughout August.
Customers who visit a Pho restaurant wearing pink on a Wednesday can purchase selected dishes and a spicy pink margarita for £5 each.
The offer includes crispy spring rolls, seasoned chicken wings and fresh summer rolls, alongside a margarita made with dragon fruit and Thai chillies.
Pho marketing director Libby Andrews said: “Not only does the new SABZU Pink Sriracha look amazing, it is delicious and so fun for summer.
“We are really excited to be the only place in the UK to serve it for the month of August.”
Bamboomart chief executive Dan Pathomvanich added: “Our partnership with Pho marks an exciting milestone for SABZU as we introduce the world’s first Pink Sriracha sauce exclusively across the UK.
“We believe Pink Sriracha perfectly captures today’s appetite for bold, playful flavours while staying true to authentic Thai ingredients.”
