Aldi is set to offer its first 500 customers a £5 voucher following England’s early morning victory to celebrate the win.

The £5 vouchers will be available from 8am on 6 July on a first-come, first-served basis.

The voucher can be redeemed on morning coffees, breakfast on-the-go or a few essentials for the upcoming week to give shoppers a boost after the late-night football match.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “There will be a lot of tired people this morning after staying up to cheer England on, so we wanted to give the first 500 early risers a little boost to start the week.

“We hope our £5 vouchers help make Monday morning just that bit easier – and, hopefully, even more enjoyable after a great result.”

Additionally, the discounter has reduced the price of prosecco to £5.49 for 24 hours as England moves forward through the competition.

Aldi plans to keep lowering the price as each knockout stage progresses, which will give shoppers more savings as England advances in the competition.

Each of the promotional prices will be available for a 24-hour period within 24 hours of each match before returning to the standard retail price of £7.99.

If England proceeds to the finals and manages to lift the trophy, the price will reduce to £3.99 for a limited time.
