Healthy meals brand The Gym Kitchen has launched high-protein chicken nuggets and lean pork sausages across Tesco stores nationwide.

The high-protein pork sausages are set to launch on shelves this week, which follows the successful performance of the brand’s Chicken Sausages and contain 20g of protein per 2-pack serving.

The brand’s chicken breast nuggets will land in the frozen aisle from 22 June onwards and are air fryer and oven friendly.

Both products were developed to fill in a gap during mainstream family mealtimes and broaden the brand’s appeal beyond core fitness and health shoppers.

The Gym Kitchen founder, Segun Akinwoleola, said: “Chicken nuggets and pork sausages are mainstream household staples, and neither has seen much meaningful protein innovation.

“The Gym Kitchen is changing that with these new launches, filling much-needed gaps in a category largely untouched by functional food innovation.”

According to the business, the products are non-HFSS compliant and aim to meet the growing demand for healthier food options across the grocery market.

This move is part of The Gym Kitchen’s strategy to create products with functional health credentials that can be used as part of everyday dining.

The High Protein Lean Pork Sausages and High Protein Chicken Nuggets come in a 340g and 400g format for £3.40 and £4.50, respectively.
