Snappy Shopper comes to Channel Islands
On demand grocery delivery platform Snappy Shopper has launched in Jersey for the first time, as it partners with Alliance Retail for an Iceland Foods offering.
Shoppers on Jersey will now have access to grocery and everyday items from Iceland with quick delivery in a wide choice of time slots. It marks Snappy Shopper’s expansion beyond the UK mainland, and aims to test the scalability of its quick commerce model.
According to this latest collaboration, early results have highlighted a strong demand for rapid delivery on the island. Average order values have hit £72. Typical UK convenience store baskets are often under £10, while broader top-up grocery spending tends to fall in the £15–£20 range.
Greg Deacon, VP at Snappy Shopper, explained that the high average order value is “a strong indicator of both customer demand and the strength of the model in this market.”

The service is supported by Snappy Shopper’s integration with EdgePoS, which provides real-time pricing, live stock visibility and promotions direct from store systems. This is designed to keep online and in-store offers aligned, while maintaining accurate product information for shoppers.
Finance director of Alliance Retail Ross Falla added: “This partnership is an important part of our continued expansion plans, both digitally and through future retail growth across the islands. We see significant potential to broaden the range available to customers over time and continue improving accessibility and convenience for the communities we serve.”
