Morrisons has launched a new Fish & Chips afternoon tea for two which costs £15 as it celebrates the upcoming National Fish & Chips Day.

The new deal will land in cafés nationwide ahead of Fish & Chip Day on 5 June, which replaces classic afternoon tea finger sandwiches with fish bites, scampi and chips.

The limited-edition dish includes six fish bites, six scampi, bread and butter, chunky chips and a selection of mushy peas or curry sauce alongside traditional fruit scones.

Additionally, the retailer launched a new giant fish and chips dish for £15, which serves a major portion of fish with chips and mushy peas.

The meals are now available at all 343 Morrisons Cafés across the country, which gives customers the chance to have fish and chips without leaving the supermarket.

Senior buying manager at Café at Morrisons, Will Reed, said: “National Fish & Chip Day is all about celebrating one of the nation’s best-loved meals, so we wanted to bring something big, fun and full of flavour to our cafés this summer.

“From the Fish & Chip Afternoon Tea to our Giant Fish & Chips, both dishes deliver the comforting taste of a classic chippy tea – with generous portions at great value.”
