Aldi has announced plans to upgrade 25 stores across the UK this summer as part of its £300m investment in improving its estate during 2026.

The renovations will vary by location but will include creating more shopping space and the introduction of more sustainable features such as energy-efficient fridge doors and natural refrigerants to lower carbon emissions.

Some of the selected stores will have upgraded bakery, health & beauty, and fresh food departments to improve the overall shopping experience for customers. The locations that will be renovated include Liverpool, London, Aberdeen, Nottingham, and Manchester.

MD of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, Jonathan Neale said: “We’re continuing to invest in our stores to ensure our customers have the best possible shopping experience at Aldi.

“These upgrades will help us create even more convenient and efficient stores for both customers and colleagues while also supporting our sustainability ambitions.”
