The cookie dough brand Doughlicious has announced its first nationwide listing at Asda with three flavours of cookie dough and gelato bites.

This marks a major retail milestone for the brand, with Asda shoppers being among the first to try the new dairy chocolate chip, which was developed after years of requests.

According to the brand, the product was designed for health-conscious shoppers, which was gluten-free certified and made without artificial flavours or preservatives.

Founder of Doughlicious, Kathryn Bricken, said: “Our community has been asking for a dairy chocolate chip for years, and we wanted to get it absolutely right: same gluten-free, better-for-you standards; same hand-crafted process, just with the creamiest vanilla gelato we could create and more chocolate chips.

“Landing all three flavours in Asda nationwide is a huge moment for the team and means more people than ever can find that joy-meets-goodness moment in their freezer. That’s how we do good!”

This move comes as the UK ice cream category has boomed past £2bn in annual retail sales, which is a 12.3 per cent increase year-on-year, according to the latest Circana data.

There will be three variants available for purchase from the brand: Dairy Chocolate Chip, Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Truffle.

The new products have now launched in Asda stores across the country from 11 May for £4 per pack of six.
