Healthy drinks brand Innocent Drinks has released a new dessert-inspired range of smoothies to tap into the growing demand for everyday sweet treats.

The new range includes three flavours, like strawberry cupcakes, blueberry muffin-ish and a bit like lemon pie, which are all inspired by classic dessert recipes.

The drink aims to leverage the increasing demand for little treats for health-conscious consumers, made as plant-based smoothies which contain blended fruits and coconut milk.

According to the business, the drinks are free from added sugar, artificial sweeteners or flavourings and count as one of 5 per day.

The new line of smoothies will be available exclusively in Tesco stores from 11 May onwards with a wider retail expansion from September, including at Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Ocado.

The drinks are available in 250ml and 750ml formats for a recommended retail price of £2.20 and £4, respectively.

Innocent Drinks is expanding its portfolio of healthy juices and smoothies with this new launch.

This launch comes after the brand expanded its coconut water range with the introduction of a new 500ml format which is set to launch in Tesco Express from 18 May.

The move aims to meet growing consumer demand for convenient, on-the-go hydration and builds on the success of the new coconut water product.
