CCEP and Co-op launch campaign for Special Olympics GB
Co-op, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) and Special Olympics Great Britain have launched the Meals That Matter 2026 national campaign, which aims to spotlight athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Last year the initiative placed images of athletes from SOGB in stores for 12 weeks, which resulted in over £80,000 raised through 350,000 meal deals sold at Co-op stores nationwide.
The new campaign will run until 19 May across Co-op ahead of the 2026 National Summer Games.
As part of the fundraising initiative, 25p will be donated to Special Olympics GB for every Co-op lunchtime meal deal purchased which includes a can of Coca-Cola.
The campaign will be fronted by national triathlete and swimmer Angus Leckonby, who is set to appear on in-store materials across participating Co-op locations.

The fundraising initiative is set to feature digital touchpoints with SOGB athletes, front-of-store displays, digital screens and shelf takers across 113 stores.
Holly Firmin, senior community partnerships manager at CCEP, said: “Meals That Matter is about bringing people together, whether through sport, work, or something as simple as picking up lunch. The core message remains simple: everyone wins when you choose to include.
“The response from Co-op shoppers last year was fantastic, and seeing the level of engagement with the campaign speaks for itself. Hearing directly from athletes about what this campaign means to them and their communities makes it even more worthwhile.”
The campaign is also set to feature Makaton symbols which are integrated into point-of-sale materials which will allow accessibility to over 10,000 children and adults.
