The Estate Dairy is set to launch its one litre glass bottle of Unhomogenised Organic Whole Milk across 366 Tesco stores, from 5 October 2026.

This marks the first time milk in a glass bottle is stocked in Tesco’s chilled milk aisles. The retail listing also reflects a shift in overall British consumption as shoppers are moving towards pure whole milk from alternatives.

According to the business, the brand’s milk is slightly pasteurised and not homogenised, which is delivered directly from the farm onto Tesco shelves.

Rebecca Young, The Estate Dairy’s co-founder, said: “I grew up watching my father farm dairy, and the farms we work with are still small and independently owned by the farmers themselves.

“We know them by name, and Tesco coming on board like this means the work they do – and the benefits of proper milk – can reach many more kitchen tables across the country.”

The business was founded in 2016 by Rebecca and Shaun Young and sources milk from a collective of small family-operated farms in Cheshire.

Oliver Scott-Harden, The Estate Dairy’s commercial director, added: “The easy thing would have been to change the bottle for the supermarket. We didn’t, because the glass is part of how the milk works: you can see the cream, and it’s the same bottle that The Estate Dairy customers know and love.”

The Estate Dairy is used across UK hospitality venues, including restaurants and coffee shops.

This expansion marks its entrance into the retail sector as British shoppers lean towards less processed products.
