Co-op reopens North Yorkshire store after renovation

Co-op has reopened a store in the North Yorkshire Town of Haxby after a three-month investment programme to renovate the location.

The convenience store is located in Ryedale Court, Haxby, and has launched with a new look and range to enhance the shopping experience for the community.

The business has introduced new refrigeration which lowers energy consumption and supports Co-op’s carbon reduction goals.

There is also an in-store bakery and Costa Coffee Express, which are available alongside the retailer’s range of meal deals, food-to-go and Fairtrade products.

Josephine Turnbull, Co-op area manager, said: “We’re delighted to invest in Haxby and proud to be part of local community life. Co-op is committed to backing high streets and communities, and we work to ensure our stores are a hub locally.

“We have a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone alongside added services including Costa Coffee, parcel collections, payment services, quick online home delivery and more.

“The store has been transformed, and the whole team is really looking forward to welcoming our members and customers back into the store now works are concluded.”

Additionally, parcel collection services are available in-store, and online home delivery can be accessed through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Co-op’s website.

This is part of the retailer’s wider investment in its estate, recently opening a renovated store in Cuckfield, Sussex.
