Del Monte bets on Toy Story 5 tie-up to boost summer fruit sales

News

Del Monte is launching a major on-pack campaign with Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 as it looks to drive shopper engagement across fresh produce, fruit snacks and juice drinks this summer.

The fresh produce brand will roll out the global collaboration across UK grocery aisles from May to September 2026, ahead of the film’s release on 19 June.

The activation will feature characters including Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie across millions of Del Monte products in the UK and international markets.

In the UK, the campaign will appear across a wide range of SKUs, including Del Monte Peach Slices, Fruit Cocktail in juice, and juice drinks such as Pineapple and Mango & Papaya.

The tie-up will also extend into fresh produce, with bananas and selected pineapple lines carrying promotional stickers, alongside fresh-cut ranges including fruit platters and ready-to-eat watermelon and pineapple packs.

The multi-category rollout gives Del Monte visibility across several parts of the grocery fixture during the peak summer trading period, when demand for fruit, juices and on-the-go fresh produce typically rises.

As part of the campaign, shoppers buying participating products will be able to enter a global consumer competition to win an “Ultimate Action-Packed Family Adventure to San Francisco”, inspired by Toy Story 5.

The prize includes a five-night stay in the city, with experiences including visits to landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, a science and space centre, toy-making activities and a city-wide scavenger hunt.

Additional co-branded Del Monte and Disney prizes will also be available through social media.

The competition will run from 1 May to 30 September and will be open to residents aged 18 and over across participating markets, including the UK and Ireland, Italy, France, Spain, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Poland and Portugal.
