Aldi to become first supermarket to stock Cookie Dealer cookies

Aldi is set to become the first UK supermarket to stock Cookie Dealer cookies, following social media demand from shoppers.

The discounter will launch Cookie Dealer Chocolate Chunk Cookies in stores nationwide from 30 April, priced at £2.99 for a two-pack.

The range will be available as an Aldi Specialbuy, meaning it will only be stocked while supplies last.

The launch follows a viral TikTok from Cookie Dealer’s founders comparing their products with M&S’ Chunked ‘N’ Loaded Chocolate & Hazelnut Cookies, which are priced at £2.10 each.

The video has since generated more than 1.7m views, with shoppers calling for Aldi to stock the independent brand’s cookies.

Aldi will offer two variants: Milk Chocolate Chunk Cookie and White Chocolate Chunk Cookie.

The Milk Chocolate Chunk Cookie features a buttery cookie base, milk chocolate chunks, a molten centre and a crispy ball topping. The White Chocolate Chunk Cookie includes white chocolate, vanilla notes, a soft centre and white chocolate drizzle.

Cookie Dealer’s products have also been positioned as a UK alternative to Crumbl Cookies, the US bakery brand that has grown rapidly through TikTok-led demand and celebrity collaborations.

Cookie Dealer co-founder Agate Sawyer said: “Seeing our cookies launch in Aldi is a very special moment. It means the cookies we spent years perfecting can now reach more customers across the UK.

“When we started the Cookie Dealer six years ago, it began with a simple passion — to create the best cookies we possibly could, with no compromises on quality or indulgence.”

Aldi UK chief commercial officer Julie Ashfield added: “We’re delighted to be the first supermarket to launch these indulgent cookies made by a passionate team with quality at the forefront. Our customers are going to love them.”
