Swiss FMCG manufacturer Hero Group has announced the acquisition of UK snacking and gut health company The Gut Stuff for an undisclosed amount.
The Gut Stuff is a business in London which specialises in selling snacks and soft drinks within its portfolio which are aimed at gut health.

After the deal is completed, all employees working at The Gut Stuff will continue with the organisation.
CEO of Hero Group Christian Schierbaum said: “The acquisition of The Gut Stuff is a fantastic opportunity for us to grow as a Group and play in a small but growing trend in better snacking around gut health and fibre.”

Chief strategy officer at Hero Mita Sen added: “This is the perfect combination of a brand with strong positioning and connection to consumers coupled with Hero’s experience and know-how in developing high-quality snacks.
“Putting these capabilities together will result in faster growth and more impact with customers and consumers.”
This move comes after the group posted successful results which were driven by the acquisition of the UK-based brand Deliciously Ella.
The decision to buy another UK snacking brand is part of a wider business strategy to expand its portfolio with a number of names which can boost the company’s profits.
