Juicy Marbles launches plant-based ‘butcher-minced’ sausages exclusively at Ocado
Juicy Marbles has expanded into plant-based sausages with the exclusive Ocado launch of its new Butcher-Minced Bangers.
Rolling out from 31 July, the meat-free sausages are available in packs of six priced at £4.09. The launch marks the brand’s latest move beyond its existing plant-based steaks, tenderloins and ribs.
Juicy Marbles said the product uses its whole-cut plant protein and fat to recreate the coarse texture of a traditional butcher-made sausage, rather than the smoother consistency commonly associated with meat-free alternatives.
The sausages feature visible cubes of plant-based fat that melt during cooking, alongside a “snappy” casing and beef-style flavour.
Juicy Marbles targets premium meat-free market
The brand said the bangers form a golden-brown crust and release their fats and juices when fried for six to eight minutes.
They have been developed for dishes including bangers and mash, full English breakfasts and toad in the hole.
Each 100g serving contains 12.4g of protein and provides a source of fibre, iron and vitamin B12. The product is also made without preservatives.
Juicy Marbles co-founder Luka Sinček said the business had adapted conventional sausage-making techniques by mincing and casing its plant-based whole cuts and fats.
He added that the company wanted to provide a more premium eating experience than existing “hotdog-like” plant-based alternatives.
The Butcher-Minced Bangers are currently available online exclusively through Ocado, with no physical retail launch date announced.
