Co-op opened two of its stores on 12 March following renovations to the locations in Loch Fyne, Tarbert and Marske-by-the-Sea.

The Tarbet’s Co-op store includes a Costa Coffee Express and an upgraded bakery, and lower energy consumption refrigeration.

There is an expanded range of fresh and chilled products alongside meal deals and food-to-go; Fairtrade products; chilled beers and wines; and essentials.

David MacDougall, Co-op area manager, said: “We’re delighted to invest in Tarbert and extremely proud to be part of local community life.

“We’re committed to backing high streets and communities, and the store has been transformed with a great new look and enhanced range offering great quality and value.”

The renovated high street store in Marske now offers additional services such as a self-service laundromat facility, key cutting service, parcel collection and online home delivery of groceries.

Both locations will continue to offers deals and promotions with member price savings for shoppers within the loyalty programme.

The stores are part of the 18 new or refurbished stores the convenience retailer plans to open within the first three months of 2026.
