In the new role he will manage commercial strategy and consolidate the customer, category, product, marketing and outsourced functions and will report directly to CEO Nick Field.

“The growth of The Compleat Food Group since its inception in 2021 has been fantastic to observe, and the opportunity to be part of its continued success was hugely appealing,” he said.

The appointment comes as the Group saw its turnover reach over £1.4bn and made a number of major acquisitions, including the Real Yorkshire Pudding and chilled food company Freshpak.

Compleat Food Group also recently bought Greencore’s sauces and soups business in Bristol after approval from the CMA.

Field said: “We’re delighted to welcome Nick to the Group. He brings deep experience in UK FMCG, a track record of driving commercial performance, and a leadership style focused on clarity, accountability and empowering teams to do their best work.”
