Sweet Freedom unveils hazelnut vegan spread
Vegetarian brand Sweet Freedom has unveiled a hazelnut-style chocolate spread which is launching exclusively at Asda for £3.35.
The product is designed for health-conscious consumers. It does not contain nuts, palm oil or refined sugar, according to the company.
The launch comes during Veganuary, which is aimed at shoppers looking for plant-based options in the New Year and has 15 calories per teaspoon.
Co-founder of Sweet Freedom Deborah Pyner said: “CHOC POT Hazelnot has been a real labour of love. We wanted to recreate that classic hazelnut-chocolate experience, but in a way that’s totally nut-free, natural and a little bit lighter.

“Launching it for Veganuary with Asda felt like the perfect moment – it’s indulgent, inclusive and shows that better-for-you choices can still taste amazing.”
Sweet Freedom aims to offer a lighter alternative to traditional chocolate spreads on the market.
The product is set to rollout online following its debut at Asda. This new launch is part of Sweet Freedom’s CHOC POT range, which includes Original and Caramel flavours.
