Haribo’s UK retail expansion
Haribo is celebrating the success of its retail offering, having opened its 13th store in December.
The new site is in Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
The sweet maker has invested over £20m in its retail business since 2018 and spent £35m to upgrade its production facilities.
The move reinstates the brand’s commitment to UK bricks and mortar expansion and improving Yorkshire’s manufacturing sites, set a statement from the business.

“While the retail sector continues to face challenges, we are proud to invest in the UK market and remain confident in our ability to deliver good value and high-quality products to British consumers,” said Jon Hughes, managing director of Haribo UK and Ireland.
“The stores allow us to connect with customers in new ways, offering products and experiences that reinforce our position as the UK’s leading sugar confectionery brand.”
Last year the stores brought in 5m shoppers, which marks a 1m increase from the previous year’s footfall.
Moving forward, the business will continue to invest in its retail presence with a refurbishment programme set to take place in 2026.
The UK market currently has the third-largest presence in the Haribo Group, behind Germany and France.
