Avocado and macadamia oil brand Omega Pressery is set to launch in Waitrose, marking the first major retail listing for the business.

The business was launched in May 2024 offering offers cold-pressed, ethically sourced Extra Virgin Avocado Oil and Extra Virgin Macadamia Oil.

This now launch is part of Waitrose’s Brands New programme, which supports the supermarket’s goal of offering healthier and more sustainable choices for its customers.

Nikita Dawda, co-founder of Omega Pressery said: “This milestone brings us closer to our mission of making healthier, all-purpose cooking oils accessible to everyone.

“With their naturally high smoke point, our oils perform brilliantly for everyday cooking, drizzling and frying, and we’re proud to do this through a fully traceable, sustainable supply chain that supports East African smallholder farmers.”

This aligns with Waitrose’s mission to support brands that practise sustainable supply chain practices.
