Whisky brand Johnnie Walker has opened a new store in Selfridges Birmingham and released a limited-edition bottle.

The Johnnie Walker Blue Label ‘Keep Walking x Birmingham’ Limited Edition bottle will launch on 27 November, with only 100 produced globally.

The new bottle will be sold exclusively at Selfridges, Birmingham, for £190 in a partnership between the retailer and alcohol brand.

The design of the limited-edition bottle features Birmingham’s skyline and landmarks, including Birmingham Town Hall, the Library of Birmingham, The Rotunda, the Selfridges Building, St Philip’s Cathedral and Old Joe Clock Tower.

Johnnie Walker’s new store offers its range of products, including Black, Double Black and Green Labels and the rare Blue Label expressions.

Additionally, the store will offer shoppers other luxury whisky brands from parent company Diageo’s portfolio.

At the space inside Selfridges’ first-floor wine shop, customers can receive guidance from specialists and bottle personalisation and wrapping services on purchases.

The announcement of the launch comes after Johnnie Walker’s parent company, Diageo, posted a flat Q1 and lowered its guidance for the rest of the year. However, the quarter saw solid gains for brands Johnnie Walker and Guinness.
