Innocent Drinks has launched new high-vegetable-content smoothies – Green Goodness and Red Goodness – as part of its goal to help consumers have options for a healthier lifestyle.

The new products have launched in Sainsbury’s and will roll out to all other major retailers in the upcoming months, available in 750 ml and 250 ml serving sizes.

Sarah Munday, Head of Research and Development at Innocent Drinks, said: “Over the years our taste buds have evolved, and we’ve found that not everyone is on the lookout for a sweet-tasting smoothie.

“That’s why we’ve been busy in the background crafting our highest-ever veg-content smoothie, that has no added sugar and offers delicious taste. We’re on a mission to get more of us eating fruit and veg, so whether drinkers opt for a green or a red smoothie, they can be sure they’re getting a drink packed full of goodness.”

Green Goodness contains flavours of spinach, cucumber and courgette, and apple, mandarin and lemon. Meanwhile, the Red Goodness smoothie contains flavours of spinach, courgette, beetroot, cherry and carrot.

In May, the drinks brand signed an open letter to launch a campaign to improve the public access to fruit and vegetables.
