Vinarchy recruits former Bacardi executive
Global wine company Vinarchy has announced the appointment of Amanda Almond as the regional managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, effective on 1 September.
Almond brings over 25 years of experience to the role, having previously worked at Bacardi, PepsiCo and Lindt. In her most recent position, she oversaw Bacardi’s business in Northern Europe, Iberia, Greece, the UK and Ireland.
Vinarchy executive chairman Ben Clarke said: “Amanda is known for her commercial acumen and strong leadership, alongside her passion for growing premium brands and high-performing teams.

“She brings a great mix of industry knowledge, strategic thinking and people-first leadership. Her experience and energy will be a great asset as we continue to grow our presence across EMEA.”
Almond added: “I am thrilled to be joining Vinarchy at such an exciting time for the company. I look forward to working with the EMEA team and our valued customers across the region to grow our amazing portfolio of brands and drive the wine category forward.”
She will succeed Derek Nicol in her new role as the managing director of the EMEA region.
