Vimto-parent company Nichols has posted a solid set of interim results for the half-year, due to new product launches.

For the six months ending 30 June 2025, the soft drinks group reported adjusted profit before tax up 0.8% to £14.6m with its full-year performance expected to be in line with market forecasts.

Its group sales also rose 1.8% to £85.5m, helped by a 3.7% lift in packaged sales in the UK, which were driven by distribution gains and the launch of new lines like functional squash Wonderfuel.

Meanwhile, its popular Vimto brand is now listed with major retailers across Malaysia as part of its wider international push.

Elsewhere, Nichols’ international business fared less well, experiencing a 2.5% dip, due to shipment timings in the Middle East and its planned switch to a higher-margin concentrate model in Africa.

However, West Africa revenue jumped 16.9%, which the drinks giant said reflected the early benefits of that strategic change.

Nichols also highlighted a successful rollout of its new ERP system, supporting long-term operational efficiencies.

CEO Andrew Milne praised the “continued strategic progress” and said the group remains confident in its long-term goals.

“With a robust balance sheet, strong brand portfolio and expanding international reach, we are well placed to deliver on our growth strategy.”
