Naked Wines has appointed Jack Pailing as Non-Executive Chair of its board, following a formal recruitment process led by an external firm.

Pailing, who became the Group’s Senior Independent Director earlier this year, brings experience in governance and capital markets.

The wine retailer added Pailing, who is familiar with Naked’s operations and recently launched strategic plan, has been a long-standing shareholder and customer of the business.

The company said the appointment would provide continuity in leadership as it executes its turnaround strategy.

It is understood Deirdre Runnette, who acted as Interim Chair during the search, will return to her role as Senior Independent Director.
