M&S expands value food lines to win over family shoppers

M&S is expanding its Remarksable Value, Bigger Pack, Better Value and Dropped & Locked food lines as it invests in trusted value for family shoppers.

The Remarksable Value range, which includes over 100 everyday staples, saw sales grow by 14% and volume by 11% from October to December 2024, with growth from core basket products like Free Range eggs, milk and fruit.

New Remarksable lines for 2025 include Chopped Italian Tomatoes and Italian Plum Tomatoes at 50p per 400g.

Meanwhile, the Bigger Pack, Better Value range is being increased to more than 90 products after its sales and volume increased by a third in the third quarter.

New lines include Select Farms Mixed Peppers, Large Mozzarella and Tomato Pizza, and two Garlic Baguettes, ranging from £2.50 to £3.75.

M&S’ Dropped & Locked offer, which highlights in store where prices have been lowered and locked, has seen price reductions on several key lines across core categories such as vegetables, sliced meats and cheese.

The upmarket retailer’s Dine In range, which saw a 20% sales uplift in the first half of the year, has unveiled a new Family Stir Fry Dine In option, serving four for £6 with a large selection of vegetables, sauces and noodles included.

M&S Food product development director Kathryn Turner said: “Quality is at the heart of every decision we make at M&S Food, which is why we offer customers trusted value which to us means M&S quality at the best price.
