The grocer is aiming to add more than 480 brands to George online, and is working with Virtualstock as its new range extension partner.

Adding Decathlon to George.com builds upon Asda’s existing in-store partnership with the sportswear giant, which includes 22 concessions in stores nationwide.

George.com online trading senior director Michael Rowles said: “The expansion of our product ranges online is a key focus for us, so to be able to bring products from a trusted retailer like Decathlon marks a significant milestone for us.

“We’re delighted to be able to bring hundreds of new Decathlon products to our website for customers to shop. We look forward to sharing more exciting plans to bring products from more of our partners to our website as we head into next year.”

Earlier this month, Asda also expanded its premium-grocery ‘Exceptional by Asda’ range, with the addition of over 400 new products in the run-up to Christmas.
