Gopuff has appointed Getir’s commercial director as its new director of category management and supply chain.
Gopuff has confirmed that Xavier Dialdas will be joining its senior management team, ending his almost two-year stint at the rival rapid delivery service which withdrew from UK markets in April this year.
Joining Getir as its head of supply chain before moving into the commercial director role, Dialdas previously held the position of associate director for commercial and supply chain at then-rival delivery service Gorillas, before Getir ultimately bought the company in December 2022.

Dialdas’ appointment comes as Gopuff remains one of the only players standing after the UK’s pandemic rapid delivery boom, which has since seen a plethora of companies jostle for market share during the post-pandemic era, due to a wane in customer demand.
Getir’s exit of the UK market came amid a period of turbulence for the delivery service, which saw its valuation drop by 80% last September, only a month after it was forced to axe 10% of its staff, representing 2,500 redundancies.
Last August, Getir’s head of buying and commercial Neil Franklin’s sudden departure marked a significant restructuring at Getir, with buying and supply chain teams at the time being combined under the leadership of Dialdas.
Getir, which is still active in Turkey, has since announced it is to split into two separate companies with an Abu Dhabi state investment fund set to inject fresh capital of £197.5m ($250m) into the business.
