Aldi boosts London presence with four new store openings
Aldi is preparing to open four new London stores by the end of 2024, as it looks to deliver on its promise to bring lower food prices to even more Londoners.
The discounter‘s new locations include stores in Leytonstone and Beckton, which are both set to open within a couple of months, before debuting in Holloway Road and Muswell Hill.
The new store openings will see the supermarket create more than 150 jobs in the capital, a figure that is set to rise as it launches further stores across 2025.
It comes amid Aldi’s long-term ambition to open another 100 stores within London, creating a total of around 3,500 new jobs.

Aldi national real estate managing director Jonathan Neale said: “There are still thousands of shoppers in the capital that don’t yet have access to an Aldi nearby and, as a result, too many people have to make do with big prices at the big supermarkets.
“That’s why, while we’re looking to open new stores across the country, London will be a particular focus for us over the coming years.”
The latest store openings add to the retailer’s long-term goal of reaching 1,500 stores across the UK, a feat it aims to achieve aided by its investment of £550m in expanding its UK footprint this year.
