Waitrose reshapes head office to bolster customer service
Waitrose has reshaped its Bracknell head office team in a bid to bolster its retail and customer service across its network.
The supermarket is understood to have internally renamed it’s Bracknell head office as ‘Retail Support Centre’, and has included a dedicated ‘retail service and standards team’, reported The Grocer.
The upmarket grocer’s new head office team is expected to assume responsibility for standardising retail services across its stores nationwide, including how employees interact with customer, consistency of displays and the feel of stores.
It is has not be confirmed if the restructure has resulted in any redundancies.

In January, outgoing chair Dame Sharon White revealed wider plans for the partnership’s turnaround, including all Waitrose staff receiving customer service training for the first time
The new team’s creation comes as the supermarket looks to grow following a turbulent few years.
In June, White insisted that the company was “back on track” and said that the convenience sector is a top expansion priority for Waitrose.
It appears the supermarket’s efforts are bearing fruit after Waitrose was shown to have gained market share for the first time in over two years, according to new data from Kantar.

Henley on Thames have management issues
Give notice to customers when home deliveries will not take place in Regatta ,festival Christmas and Easter .Older or vulnerable customers may well rely on deliveries. Management of deliveries and problems in a timely manner and asking staff if problems exist and relating it to customers. JL Waitrose since 1978 have had weekly deliveries for past 6 years .Annual spend £14k So disappointed with service and nonsense billing .Hope you can turn it all around, management should have retail experience
