FMCGNews
As Bubbleology, Shake Baby Shake, Aspall, Rekorderlig and The Turmeric Co have all unveiled new products, we round up what they are, how much they cost and which UK supermarkets will be stocking the innovations.

Bubbleology

Bubble tea brand Bubbleology has expanded its FMCG offering with the launch of a new Brown Sugar Home Kit single serve.

The latest innovation will be rolling out into 700 B&M stores nationwide at £2.30.

It marks the latest addition to Bubbleology’s Milk and Fruit Tea Home Kit offerings, which includes flavours such as passionfruit and raspberry, and Taro milk teas.

All Home Kit ranges include pearls and a jump straw to be made in under three minutes.

Bubbleology founder and CEO Assad Khan said: “We are delighted with the phenomenal response to our Home Kits. Our goal has always been to be at the forefront of consumers’ mind and with our continuous growth in the FMCG space, we are achieving just that.”

Shake Baby Shake

Cocktail brand Shake Baby Shake has launched three new flavours, including Lemon Gin Fizz, Pink Berry Margherita and On the Peach.

The ABV 3.4% drinks are available in 250ml single-format cans with an RRP of between £1.55 and £1.60, and all new flavours rolling out into supermarket giant Sainsbury’s from 29 April.

Shake Baby Shake brand manager Emily Seddon said: “We’re really excited to introduce these new flavours to our Shake Baby Shake range.

“Each flavour has been crafted with our customers in mind – we’ve seen increasing demand for more exotic taste profiles – particularly during the summer months when we see an increase in consumption of fruity flavours.”

Aspall Cyder

Premium cider brand Aspall Cyder has unveiled a new apple flavour with a lower ABV than the rest of its range in the off-trade at 4.5%.

It is also the first Aspall product in a 330ml can, available in four and 10-can multipacks in Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose.

Molson Coors Beverage Company marketing controller for cider Stuart Ayre said: “Our new Aspall Crisp Apple Cyder is light and refreshing, retaining the distinctive flavour qualities of our 300 year old Aspall brand, whilst broadening its appeal to new consumers, in new drinking occasions through an accessible format, lower ABV and crisp finish.

Can formats currently make up 67% of cider sales, however the brand claims there is “a gap in the market for a super premium option”.

Ayre added: “Aspall Crisp Apple Cyder is perfectly placed to tap into that opportunity, offering a more sophisticated option for consumers to pick up and enjoy.

“Aspall is known for its commitment to cyder made finer, and Aspall Crisp Apple Cyder ticks all the boxes. Feedback from consumers so far shows that they love the taste and the premium feel of the cans, so we’re confident that it will be a hit.”

Rekorderlig

Fruit cider brand Rekorderlig has launched a category-first peach-raspberry flavour which looks to attract fruit cider lovers and a new range of consumers with a lighter taste, alongside a new blackberry-blackcurrant flavour.

Both products are launching at a 3.4% ABV level in 500ml bottles, with the peach-raspberry flavour also available in 10x330ml cans across all major UK retailers.

Molson Coors Beverage Company marketing controller for cider Stuart Ayre said: “The introduction of both our exciting new Peach-Raspberry and Blackberry-Blackcurrant flavours will help us appeal to a wider range of consumers and tap into more occasions over the summer months when cider is so popular.

“Peach in particular is a rapidly-growing flavour trend that’s becoming hugely popular across food and drink, but doesn’t have as much of a presence in fruit cider yet. Our new launch featuring a first of its kind flavour combination will help consumers enjoy this new trend as the warmer weather approaches.

“Meanwhile Blackberry Blackcurrant will be a big boost to the dark fruit category – which is a popular choice all year round – offering shoppers a more premium variety of this classic favourite.”

The Turmeric Co.

Health brand The Turmeric Co. is launching a new ashwagandha-based shot drink exclusively in Holland & Barrett.

The Raw Turmeric and Ashwagandha shot, which is available in 60ml bottles at RRP £2.20, uses the brand’s base formula with 15g of turmeric per bottle.

Each shot also contains vitamin D, zinc and magnesium to aid the normal function of the heart and immune system, while also containing ashwagandha to help regulate mood and reduce stress.

The Turmeric Co. founder and CEO Thomas ‘Hal’ Robson-Kanu said: “We can’t wait to delight health-conscious Holland & Barrett shoppers with our revolutionary products.

“Ashwagandha has been on everyone’s radar recently, but there is still a gap for an accessible, proven-to-work product that blends powerful, natural ingredients for optimal results. We’ve definitely filled that gap with this latest product launch.

“These little bottles pack a huge punch, and we can’t wait to continue using them to better the lives of more and more people across the country.”
