Gopuff to price match Aldi on essential grocery products

Instant delivery platform Gopuff is to price match discounter Aldi on essential grocery favourites for customers in London.

The new campaign will see Gopuff price matching 45 everyday products for a limited time, from household cleaning essentials, such as washing up liquid and toilet paper, to produce and meat, as well as products from brands including Pepsi, Wholegood and Warburtons.

The speedy delivery service’s Aldi Price Match will allow shoppers living in the capital to rapidly order forgotten items in minutes – with deliveries up until 4am in most London areas and some offering a 24/7 service.

A spokesperson for Gopuff said: “Gopuff is always looking at ways to add value to our customers, so with inflation still high, part of our focus is to continue offering convenience and help customers make their budgets stretch further.

“We have chosen the most popular everyday essentials to Aldi Price Match, to make sure everybody gets to take advantage of competitive prices to reach London’s community, including busy parents and professionals.”

Gopuff’s new pricing initiative follows in the wake of many leading supermarkets price matching the discounter, such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

Earlier this year, Asda became the first supermarket to offer a dual price match on hundreds of weekly essentials for both Aldi and Lidl, with Morrisons following suit with a similar scheme last month.
