Asda has launched a new Easter campaign to showcase its range of branded confectionery products.
The advert sees two farmers collecting eggs from chicken coops in the specific style of a different brands including Bounty, Mini Eggs, Maltesers, Terry’s, Crunchie and the exclusive to Asda white chocolate crème egg.
The 30-second film, developed by creative agency Havas London, ends with the campaign line “Come for the eggs, stay for the Hot Cross Buns, as tasty as M&S.”

It also looks to promote the grocer’s value credentials, with its eggs currently on offer at four for £10.
Asda marketing director Pippa Prain said: “Easter isn’t Easter without a chocolate egg (or four) and this year, we’re giving the nation a fun take on where our Easter eggs ‘really’ come from.
“But that’s not all we have to offer our customers this Easter – we have a whole host of products from tender legs of lamb, to hot cross buns, stylish Spring clothing and Easter crafts to keep the kids entertained – so this campaign is here to show that Asda has got all your Easter needs sorted.”
The multi-channel campaign forms part of the supermarket giant’s M&S Taste Match which launched last September to promote its product quality credentials, with the slogan “M&S taste at Asda price”.
The grocer claimed that hundreds of its products were voted “as tasty” or “tastier than” their M&S equivalents but at a lower cost, following thousands of blind taste tests.
