Aldi has embarked on a nationwide hunt for its next “Chief Easter Egg-Tasting Officer” to support its buying team.
Following on from last year’s success, the new recruit’s role will see them assume the responsibility of sampling a selection of Aldi’s 2024 Easter chocolate at home for free.
They will be asked to give exclusive reviews of the products, sharing thoughts on taste, texture and appearance, providing feedback to help guide Aldi’s buying team ahead of its 2025’s Easter egg range.

The new appointment follows in the wake of last year’s chief Easter egg-tasting officers, including eleven-year-old Travis who landed the role after revealing he aspired to be a chocolatier.
This year’s position is once again open to applicants from across the country of all ages, with Aldi asking potential candidates to submit a short audition video by mid-March.
Aldi managing director of buying Julie Ashfield said: “Shopper feedback is crucial in guaranteeing our products deliver on taste, while also offering great value. We’ve had proven success in recruiting Easter Egg Tasting Officers in the past.
“Feedback from last year’s winners has been pivotal in helping our Buying Team curate this year’s Easter range.”
